The Fox Float 160 Factory FIT4 utilizes Fox’s new FIT4 technology. FIT, or Fox Isolated Technology, was designed because when air and oil mix, performance degrades. Therefore Fox’s isolated technology employs a bladder system that simply keeps the air and oil from mixing to provide optimal performance in all riding extremes. Now in its fourth generation, the closed cartridge FIT4 system not only delivers improved oil flow, but it also provides three on-the-fly compression damping positions; Open, Medium, and Firm, allowing the rider to adapt to erratic terrain. Additionally, as a Fox Factory Series fork, this model of the 36 Float features an additional 22 clocks of low-speed compression adjust in the Open mode, allowing particular riders to dial-in their exact damping preferences. Since the FIT cartridge uses much less oil, the weight of the fork is significantly less than one with an open bath style.
